The Chinese government for the direct idea of the President of China, Xi Jinping will hold an international-scale import exhibition, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, China from 5-10 November 2018.
This exhibition will be attended by 200 countries around the world which are believed to increase export opportunities between countries.
The Investment Development, Chambers of Commerce and Industry Indonesia (Kadin) and Kadin Indonesian for Committee China (KIKT) led by Dato ‘Sri Tahir together with the Indonesian Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita will lead a business delegation from Indonesia to take part in CIIE 2018. Due to space constraints, Indonesian entrepreneurs who can take part in this exhibition only numbered 12.
“12 companies that participated, only 8 were pure companies, the rest were associations (coffee, swiftlet nests, etc.). Kadin then thought about connecting entrepreneurs in Indonesia so they could still exhibit in digital form,” said Chairman for Permanent Committee Regional Investment Development, Kadin, Reza Maspaitella at the Indonesia@ccess platform socialization event at Menara Kadin, Jakarta, Wednesday (03/10/2018).
Using the Indonesian@ccess platform owned by Kadin, Indonesian entrepreneurs who cannot come to CIIE 2018 can participate in exhibitions in digital form. It is hoped that the CIIE 2018 exhibitors or Chinese people can see and transact, both during the exhibition and after the event.
In the socialization which was attended by 42 participants consisting of City Government, Local Government, related associations, companies and MSMEs, Reza also explained the function of the Indonesia @ ccess platform that can bridge business actors (farmers, fishermen, SMEs and cooperatives) throughout Indonesia with local commodity consumers and internationally directly.
“Kadin will also distribute Indonesia@ccess brochures so that the people there can see the Indonesian products in there,” Reza said.
Entrepreneurs who want to register as CIIE digital exhibitors can register for free at the Indonesia@ccess.co.id platform. In addition to helping businessmen, Indonesia@ccess also provides information regarding Indonesian trade, investment and tourism to the world.
Besides displaying the products of entrepreneurs, Indonesia@ccess also displays tourism, infrastructure, agriculture and fisheries products. “This is one of the steps Kadin is helping the governor and mayor, so that investors can see the regions of Indonesia,” said Reza.
But one thing that must be noted is that entrepreneurs who want to enter the Indonesia@ccess digital platform are companies that are ready to export, have good licenses and good quality standards. “The goal is that prospective buyers do not feel cheated or disappointed when transacting through Indonesia@ccess. If you are disappointed, not only is the name of the company become bad, but also the name of Indonesia, “he said.
In this way, Kadin wants to invite entrepreneurs to think big and not selfish, by not selling bad quality goods. (bas)
