Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to move its operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 starting Oct. 26.
The Japanese flag carrier’s maiden flight from Terminal 3 will depart at 6:46 a.m. and have the number JL720.
“We have conducted various preparations for this operational movement. We’re enthusiastic to welcome Japan Airlines at Terminal 3,” the airport’s executive general manager, M. Suriawan Wakan, was quoted as saying by kompas.com on Sunday.
The new terminal features advanced facilities, such as a five-level baggage security system, self-check-in machines and Wi-Fi services.
Shuttle buses and Skytrain services connect the terminal with the other terminals and the city.
State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II is currently building a transit hotel with 150 rooms. It has been operating a 120-unit capsule hotel at Terminal 3 since Aug. 10. (kes)
