The Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) 2018 was again held in Jakarta, precisely at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), from October 31 to November 4, 2018. This biennial motorcycle exhibition carries the theme “Indonesia Future Technology” which displays a number of recent technological breakthroughs on vehicles two wheels.
The exhibition was attended by 60 motorcycle brands from several product categories, namely Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and TVS which were incorporated in AISI, as well as brands outside AISI such as KTM, Royal Enfield, Peugeot Scooters, SYM, SOIB, Vespa, and Piaggio.
“We hope (IMOS) to become a barometer for the presentation of future technology and answer people’s needs for motorbikes in Indonesia and create a transfer of knowledge,” said Johannes Loman, chairman of AISI in Jakarta, Thursday (1/11/2018).
In addition to displaying motorbikes, various brands of spare parts also enliven this exhibition, including Shad, Respiro, NHK, KYT, Nolan, Brisk, Ohlins, M One, Ravenol, JP Helmet, Ferrox, Bosch, Astra Otoparts, Prime Gear, RSV Helmet and brands of lubricants such as Pertamina Lubricants, Evalube, Idemitsu, and various brands of apparel and riding equipment.
“This year the target (IMOS) is 100,000 visitors, previously 92,000 visitors were reached. The transaction value target is IDR 20 billion, previously IDR 17 billion,” said Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto when opening IMOS 2018, yesterday.
IMOS 2018 is opened from 10.00 WIB, with ticket prices entering IDR 20 thousand per person on Wednesday-Thursday. While on Friday-Sunday, visitors are charged a ticket of Rp30 thousand per person.
On the last day of the event, the committee will hold a ticket lottery with prizes totaling four motorbikes from Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha. (bass)
