Traveling with family members, Carey landed at Adisutjipto International Airport in her private jet at 1:20 a.m.
“She is very happy and excited to perform at one of the world’s heritage sites,” said Bakkar Wibowo, the event’s creative director, in a press release made available to The Jakarta Post on Sunday.
“HIMBARA Borobudur Symphony 2018 – Mariah Carey Live in Concert” is part of the “BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri” (State Enterprises Present for the Nation) program, conducted to promote Indonesian tourist businesses, especially those managed by state enterprises.
