PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI) targets the end of this year to produce aircraft N219. At present the company is still trying to complete the aircraft certification process.
“(N219) we already have two prototypes and have flown too last year. We are currently doing TC (Type Certificate),” he said, at the PTDI Office, Jalan Pajajaran, Bandung, Wednesday (1/9/2018 )
So far the TC aircraft N219 process has reached 67%. PTDI targets the TC to be completed by the end of this year.
After the stage is complete, they will try to start the production of aircraft N219. In the initial stage, they will try to produce two aircraft at the end of this year.
“In this year, we try to produce one or two units in September to meet customer demand,” he said.
For information, the N219 aircraft prototype was developed by PTDI with the National Institute of Aviation and Interline (LAPAN).
The aircraft is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney of Canada Limited PT6A-42 engines each with 850 SHP and equipped with Hartzell 4-Blade Metal Propeller.
The N219 aircraft was able to carry loads up to 7,030 kilograms at take off and 6,940 kilograms at landing. The speed of this aircraft can reach 210 knots with an economic speed of 190 knots.
