The Indonesian Embassy in Beijing was led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the People’s Republic of China and Mongolia, Djauhari Oratmangun, presenting several Indonesian companies to attend the Harbin Import Food Expo (HIFE) 2019 which was held in the capital city of Heilongjiang Province, China, January 5-7 2019.
A number of Indonesian companies participating in the food and beverage product exhibition include: Serena Indopangan Industri, Golden Food International, Indofood, United Harvest China, Fire Ships, Yan Ty Ty (swallow’s nest), and Raja Kopi.
The exhibition was attended by 16 countries and more than 200 companies from Asia and Europe. Besides Indonesia, several ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam also participated in this exhibition.
In this activity Ambassador Djauhari was present along with the Trade Attache and Education Attache Staff. Ambassador Djauhari said that although the exhibition took place at a temperature of minus 20, the exhibition attracted Harbin buyers and communities and around to visit.
The Indonesian Pavilion which is on the main exhibition line, located in Hall-A, Harbin International Exhibition Center also flooded visitors.
“Through the exhibition at the beginning of this year, we hope that good quality Indonesian food and beverage products will increasingly penetrate the Chinese market, and cooperation between the two countries is increasingly tight. In addition, we are also grateful that the visitors who visited the Indonesian Pavilion were happy, “Ambassador Djauhari said on the sidelines of the event.
Not only holding an exhibition, Harbin Municipal People’s Government, as the organizer, also held a One Belt One Road Forum (Harbin) Food Summit 2019. Ambassador Djauhari appeared as one of the main speakers presenting the development and prospects for cooperation in the export of Indonesian food and beverage products in China market.
In addition to presenting entrepreneurs to take part in the 2019 HIFE activities and to become speakers, Ambassador Djauhari also met representatives from Harbin Municipal People’s Government, Harbin Committee of the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), China Food Association, CCPIT Jilin Provincial Committee to discuss work the same going forward.
In particular, Ambassador Djauhari also had the opportunity to meet with a number of representatives of Indonesian students who were continuing their studies in Harbin. These students generally take studies in the fields of Forestry, Environment, Engineering, Medicine and Language.
In the dialogue Ambassador Djauhari reminded that these students can carry out studies seriously, diligently, obey the law and actively use their constitutional rights in the April 2019 Election. (rls / bas)
