Indonesia ranks 4th as the most instagramable country in the world according to the Big 7 Travel news site.
The first position is occupied by Australia with a value of 89.98%. Hong Kong followed 86.99%, then Canada 82.84%, and Indonesia 81.10%.
Indonesia is rated better than South Africa in fifth place with 80.94% points, and Maldives in sixth position with 80.23% points. In seventh position there is India 80%, eighth United States 79.97%, ninth United Arab Emirates 79.92%, and tenth Singapore 79.45%.
Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Arief Yahya said, Instagramable assessments refer to destinations with beautiful and interesting sights, which can be captured by cameras. Then uploaded to social media, especially Instagram, and received a positive response from net citizens.
“Broadly speaking, the assessment of possibilities is based on visual appeal, popularity on Instagram, and there are at least seven places guaranteed to get very good photos. To be sure, the 10 chosen destinations have very strong characters, “said Menpar in an official statement on Wednesday (1/23/2019).
Menpar Arief said he was proud of this achievement. According to him, this achievement is the hard work of all parties. Including the community and millennial generation who have indirectly helped promote Indonesian tourism destinations through Instagram uploads.
“Today the world is very digital. Therefore, there must also be a digital transformation. For tourism promotion, we use digital media up to 70 percent. The main reason is because our customers are mostly millennial. (bas)
