Hundreds of European businessmen who are members of the European Business Chambers of Commerce in Indonesia (EuroCham) today gathered at the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). They will discuss the Indonesian economy and investment outlook this year.

According to Corine, the meeting this time highlighted the technological development of national industrial competitiveness. For Indonesia itself, it is considered appropriate to improve technology in this field.
“We support the improvement efforts made by the Indonesian government to encourage innovation in the technology sector for sustainable economic growth,” he said at an event at BKPM, Jakarta, Wednesday (02/06/2019).
Therefore, he hoped that this meeting could encourage the government to continue to issue innovative policies to encourage the Indonesian economy.
“This of course can be achieved if business people cooperate with the government to encourage innovative policies to develop a sustainable economy,” he said.
Meanwhile, Guerend appreciated BKPM’s collaboration with EuroCham. The cooperation is considered promising an opportunity to develop Indonesia’s economy.
“The EU economic partnership agreement with Indonesia will provide a stronger framework of cooperation for bilateral trade and investment relations and create new market access for the EU and Indonesia,” he concluded.
